The price is $5.50 a lb. hanging weight, and we pay the processing expenses which works out to be under $10/lb. finished weight. A split half is around $900.
Our Devon cattle have a very high yield rate— 75% as compared to feedlot beef who typically yield 50%.
A 20lb. package consisting of a roast, steaks and ground beef is $250.
Buying by the cut can be done at the farm.
